Finnish consortium to help out in Russia

THE ST PETERSBURG VODOKANAL has signed a contract with Finnish consortium Water Propartners to provide consultancy in the construction of the city’s southwestern STP and associated collectors.

This project will become the largest and the final link in St Petersburg’s sewerage network which has a processing capacity of 300,000m3/d of wastewater or 23% of the city’s total sewage. This is currently discharged untreated into the Gulf of Finland. The project is estimated to cost around $150 million.
