Dilutive share issues depress water stocks

A rash of secondary offerings sent individual shares tumbling this month, as the GWI Global Water Index struggled to stay in positive territory

The GWI Global Water Index was marginally up this month, but still underperformed the major stock indices (see below right).

M&A activity was responsible for some impressive individual share price fluctuations this month, while a rash of secondary offerings had a dilutive effect on a number of stocks, depressing prices in all cases.
