New statistics show that per capita water consumption in Spain has fallen for the fifth year in a row. While average tariffs have risen, there are still huge regional discrepancies.
Domestic per capita water consumption in Spain fell for the fifth consecutive year in 2007, while the volume of wastewater treated declined for the fourth year in a row, according to the latest water data released by the Spanish Statistics Institute (INE).
