Syria eyes wastewater BOTs

The drive towards public-private partnerships in Syria is set to yield its first fruit for international project developers.

The Syrian Ministry of Housing and Construction has signed a memorandum of understanding with Syrian- Qatari Holding Company (SQH) to develop a pair of wastewater treatment plants in southern Syria on a build-operate-transfer (BOT) basis.
