*A 50-50 joint venture company called HJ NewSpring has been set up by Singapore’s Hyflux and Japanese engineering firm JGC Corp. in order to develop greenfield water projects in China.

JGC will pay $63 million for its stake, while for its half, Hyflux will contribute its 100,00m3/d Tianjin Dagang SWRO plant. The JV will begin expanding the capacity of the Tianjin Dagang plant up to 150,000m3/d in the next two years.
