A national initiative to increase technology use through pilot projects in India’s water sector could lead to bigger opportunities for international players, argues GWI’s Rama Rastogi.

Indian municipalities have been slow to adopt high-end water treatment technologies, and depend heavily on primary treatment methods, often with sub-optimal results. A new project titled Technology Mission: Winning Augmentation and Renovation (WAR) for Water is the first attempt to address this problem at the national level.
