South-East Queenslanders have a choice – either reduce consumption, or face higher bills to pay for more desalination plants. Max Borchardt reports.
The Queensland state government has revised its 50-year water strategy in response to the federal veto of the Traveston Crossing Dam, and now wants to defer further desalination expenditure by encouraging residents to reduce consumption.
