* Mott MacDonald has been mandated by Majis Industrial Services Company (MISC) to prepare a feasibility study for a new desalination plant to be located at Sohar in Oman.
MISC, the governmentowned provider of water utility services to the Sohar Industrial Port area, is understood to be seeking approximately 5,000m3/d of new capacity. The contract is expected to be a DBO, with alternative energy specified to power the plant.
