Aragón to offer four wastewater BOTs

The Spanish region wants to use private sector finance to expand waste water coverage. The risk profile of the contracts could discourage some from bidding.

The northern Spanish region of Aragón has put out to tender four 20-year BOT contracts worth a total of €358 million to build and operate infrastructure for the provision of universal wastewater treatment in the Pyrenean region by 2011.
