In their final business plans for 2010-2015, the English and Welsh water companies have requested higher tariff rises, despite cutting back on capex. It reflects widespread fears over rising costs.
The final business plans for 2010-2015 submitted by the 10 UK water and sewerage companies to the industry regulator Ofwat at the start of April were notable for seeking higher tariff increases than their draft submissions last year, despite significant cuts in planned capital expenditure.
