The stimulus package has threatened the Chinese government’s private finance agenda for wastewater, prompting a rule change. Kathy Liu reports.

As part of its package to stimulate the economy, the Chinese government will inject approximately $13 billion into the wastewater industry during the 2009/2010 financial year.
