Aquatech has high hopes for expansion in India after landing the first of the UMPP desalination deals. It also intends to win municipal contracts.
Aquatech Asia, an EPC specialist that primarily caters to the industrial side of business in India, has won the water solutions contract for the first UMPP awarded to Tata at Mundra, Gujarat.
The company will provide a 25,200m3/d SWRO system for the power plant on an EPC basis for between INR700-800 million ($14.7-$16.7million).
