Portugal relaxes rules for water concessionaires

New legislation will allow tariffs to be set three years in advance and free concessionaires from some financial obligations. The aim is encourage increased private sector participation in Portugal.
Rules governing the way in which concession holders operate municipal water services in Portugal have been relaxed under legislation approved by the government at the beginning of June.
