The Spanish firm has consolidated its position in Mexico by winning a new drinking water BOT. It can now leverage its position to boost market share.
aqualia and its local partner ICA have won the 25-year contract to design, build, finance and operate the 86,400m3/d El Realito drinking water treatment plant in Mexico. The winning bid, estimated to be worth €750 million over 25 years, beat proposals by consortia including Degrémont and Befesa.
