RWE has sold a further 35 million shares of American Water, reducing its stake in the company to 26.5%.
* The shares were sold at $19.25 per share. The deal took place just days after American Water announced a strong set of quarterly results, which showed revenues up 4% at $612.7 million, and net income up 14% at $52.5 million.
