Biwater will not – as suggested here last month – be sanctioned by the Nigerian government for delays in the delivery of two wastewater treatment plants serving Abuja (see GWI July 2009 p19).
* The Lower Usama Dam project was due to be delivered in late 2007, but due to several major variation works and payment issues, it will not be completed until mid-2010. According to Biwater’s David Thorpe, the client is happy with progress.
