Abu Dhabi is taking a new tack in its power and water strategy.
* Instead of using gas to generate power, then using the waste steam to drive thermal desal plants, the Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority has decided to switch to nuclear power generation, with the electricity being used to power membrane desalination.
