GE Water has downgraded desalination in favour of a big push in water reuse.
* Some would say this is making a virtue out of necessity – the company has struggled in the large-scale municipal market recently – but the move makes a lot of sense. GE is too prissy to be a decent EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contractor, but is awesome as an equipment supplier, and reuse is more of an equipment supply business.
