The battle between Mekorot and the Israeli finance ministry has reached epic proportions. The outcome could affect Israel’s entire desal programme.
Israel’s finance ministry has given Mekorot Water Company a 21 January deadline to agree to its final offtake price at the 274,000m3/d Ashdod desalination plant, which was awarded to the IVM consortium of Minrav Holdings and Valoriza Agua in November last year.
