* Morocco’s MAD43 billion ($5 billion) wastewater investment programme is moving ahead apace.
In 2005, the country only treated 10% of its municipal effluent, with 70% of the population connected to the sewerage network. The Plan National de l’Assainissement (PNA) has the long-term objectives of treating 60% of effluents and connecting 80% of the population to the sewerage network by 2020.
