Bulgaria looks to roll out concession model

Bulgaria is the poor man of Europe when it comes to unaccounted-for water. The move to introduce 48 concessions across the country could revolutionise the entire water sector.

All water utilities in Bulgaria will be turned into concessions in 2011 under plans announced by the Minister of Regional Development & Public Works, Rosen Plevneliev, earlier this month.
