Veolia punished for lack of vision

Veolia Environnement and Suez Environnement published their 2009 results within two weeks of each other. Despite facing similar market conditions, there is no doubt which company the market favours today

A strong improvement in net income from Veolia Environnement in 2009 failed to satisfy investors when the company announced its full-year results on 5th March. Shares in the company opened the day at €25.20, but closed 5% lower at €23.94.
