* Former chief executive Henri Proglio has announced that he will step down as chairman of Veolia Environnement by the end of the year.
The company also said that CEO Antoine Frérot would be joining the board of directors. It ends the crazy arrangement whereby the new boss had to skulk in the corridor, while his predecessor held court in the boardroom.
