The Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) has opened five bids for the 1,025,000m3/d desalination element of the Ras Azzour power and water project. A consortium of Samsung Engineering and ACWA Power-Sasakura (APS) has emerged as the apparent low bidder ahead of the start of bid evaluation by SWCC and consultant Fichtner.
