NYC scraps water O&M outsourcing plans

New York City’s Department of Environmental Protection has decided against outsourcing the operation of two key drinking water facilities. It is a major blow for the US contract ops market.


Hopes that New York City would sign up private operators to maintain two of its future water filtration plants have been dashed, after city officials announced on 21 May that they instead plan to provide these services internally.
