General Water gets specific on strategy

China’s commercially-minded state-owned water operator has set itself ambitious targets for growth. Chairman Huang Weihua talks to GWI about profitability and partnership.

After several years in the wings, General Water is back in the centre of the Chinese water stage. 2010 revenues are expected to come in at RMB1 billion ($150 million), double the level in 2008, and net profits are estimated to be four times the 2008 figure.
