A new investment push will see 74 French WWTPs upgraded to comply with EU directives. The role of private finance in the initiative remains undecided.
France plans to invest €400 million by the end of 2013 in order to bring 74 medium-sized sewage treatment plants into line with the 1991 Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive.
