Dhaka plans $1.6bn boost to water treatment

Dhaka Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (DWASA), the utility that manages the water and sanitation system of the capital city of Bangladesh is preparing to add an extra 1.4 million m3/d of water treatment capacity over the next decade, according to MD Taqsem Khan (see table below). The cost is expected to be $1.6billion.
