Asia’s exposure to the UK regulated water sector is set to increase further, as Cheung Kong Infrastructure prepares to take Northumbrian Water private. The final bid price will depend on the perceived outperformance potential.
Cheung Kong Infrastructure looks likely to take over Northumbrian Water within a matter of weeks, following the announcement of a 465p-ashare indicative offer for the company on 11 July, valuing Northumbrian’s equity at £2.4 billion.
