This month’s chart comes from the latest edition of the IDA/GWI DesalData Worldwide Desalting Plant Inventory, which was completed earlier this month.
Although the Inventory is now integrated into DesalData. com, the name continues as a reference to the annual listing of new plants going into the database. As the chart shows, the increment in the 24th Inventory – which refers to new plants contracted between July 2010 and June 2011 – is nearly double the capacity added in last year’s Inventory.
