China has released its first official policy document addressing groundwater contamination. It is long overdue, argues GWI’s China editor Kathy Liu.
The State Council, China’s top policy-making body, published new guidelines for the prevention and treatment of groundwater pollution in late August, in which industrial pollution is singled out for tighter monitoring.
