Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity and Water has a new reverse osmosis desalination plant on the drawing board.

The project, which will be built in two stages – each of 227,000m3/d – has been cooked up after the ministry’s planned Khirran South project was earmarked for privatisation and switched to the responsibility of the Partnerships Technical Bureau (see story p28).
