Thames Water boosts RWE 1Q profits

RWE HAS ANNOUNCED THAT THAMES WATER contributed a substantial share to the 37.9% growth in group operating profits to €903 million for the first quarter of 2001 (1 July to 30 September).

Consolidated in the accounts for the first time, Thames Water accounted for just 4% of turnover but contributed 23%, or €207 million, to group profits.
