Brazil water legislation update

THE CONGRESSIONAL BILL reforming Brazil’s basic sanitation sector (Draft law 4147) was not, as widely expected, presented for consideration in June.

Adolfo Marinho, the congressional deputy guiding the bill through the legislature on behalf of the government, had said it would be voted on by the end of the month after a 16 June postponement.
