Plaid Cymru nervous on job losses

PLAID CYMRU – THE PARTY OF WALES – has expressed concern over the potential scale of job losses in the Welsh water industry following the takeover of Dwr Cymru by Glas Cymru and the subsequent outsourcing of services to United Utilities.

The party’s shadow economic development minister Phil Williams said reports of job losses running into hundreds were coming from workforce sources. He said this was totally unacceptable because the Welsh Assembly had been given assurances that the takeover of Dwr Cymru would not lead to the loss of frontline jobs.
