Petronas chooses Vivendi

VIVENDI WATER has signed a contract with Malaysia’s national oil company Petronas for outsourcing water treatment and supply services at the Kerith petrochemical complex in Terengganu state.

Petronas is Malaysia’s biggest company with revenues of $17.6 billion in 2002.

The 20-year contract does not require any investment on the part of Vivendi Water. Instead the company will operate a 250,000m3/d WTP and a distribution network serving customers such as BP Chemicals, Mitsui and Union Carbide, which work alongside Petronas at the Kerith ...
