AWW shareholders approve merger with RWE

Shareholders have approved the acquisition of American Water Works Company (AWW) by the RWE group’s water company, Thames Water Aqua Holdings.

AWW shareholders representing 80% of outstanding shares voted overwhelmingly to merge with RWE’s water and wastewater division in a deal which gives common stock holders $46.00 per share.
