Brasilia WwTPs contracts awarded

BRASILIA’S WATER COMPANY Companhia de Saneamento do Distrito Federal (Caesb) has awarded two contracts worth a total of R$102 million (US$44 million) to two Brazilian companies.

Serveng Civilisan will build the Melchior WwTP, and Cesbe the Gama WwTP. Work is due to start in April.

Melchior, which will use a prolonged aerated activated sludge system, is expected to take 18 months to complete. Its capacity will be 127,000m3/d and it will serve 897,000 people. The Gama WwTP will take just 15 months ...
