Strong interest in Paraguay’s state water company

AT LEAST TEN GROUPS have purchased the prequalification prospectus for Corposana, Paraguay’s state water company. They are Anglian Water, International Water, Canal de Isabel II and Aguas de Valencia, Vivendi Water/FCC, Ondeo, OSE (Uruguay) and the Paraguayan companies, Companhia Internacional de Aguas, EDB, Fluoder and Emsa-Ecomipa.
According to the Paraguayan National Secretariat for State Reform (SNRE), the closing date for the prequalification process is 21 February. The sale of up to 100% of Corposana is expected to be concluded by July. SNRE published the public invitation to obtain the prequalification terms and conditions at the start of January.
