Tallinn financing still to close

FINANCING FOR THE TALLINN WATER PRIVATISATION has still to be finalised according to the EBRD. The deal could not be closed as hoped by the end of February as there were still some outstanding administrative issues that needed to be resolved with the shareholders.

The financing has two components – an acquisition loan to an International Water offshore vehicle and a corporate loan to Tallinna Vesi. The transaction involves around €70 million of EBRD funding supplemented with commercial co-financing.
