Water conservation programme extended

THE US INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AGENCY, US AID is to extend a three-year water conservation programme in Jordan for a further two years.

James Franckiewicz, US AID’s director of water resources, said the decision was based on the success of the so-called Water Efficiency and Public Information for Action (WEPIA) project in encouraging water demand control and spreading awareness of the need for conservation.
