Welcome to July’s Global Water Intelligence. Middle East news dominates this month. Jordan’s Minister of Water & Irrigation announced his government’s intention to invest up to $2.5 billion on water projects at a conference in London last month.

The money will be spent on 53 projects in the period 2002-2011. The investment plans also include a number of projects which will involve the private sector. To date, Jordan has let a management contract for
Amman and is negotiating terms with a team of Ondeo and Morganti for the As Samra WwTP.
