In mid-July Gelsenwasser acquired a 46% stake in water company PWiK (Przedsiebiorstwo Wodociagow i Kanalizacji) in Glogów, Poland.
This is its first move into the Polish market, assuming the Polish cartel office gives its approval, as expected, in October.
Gelsenwasser will take responsibility for commercial management and will provide technical support to PWiK. The company provides water and wastewater services to the 70,000 inhabitants of the town, located 120km east of the German border in Lower Silesia ...
