Ondeo first half revenues slip

REVENUES AT SUEZ’S WATER BUSINESS (ONDEO) were down 2.2% in the first half of 2002 due to the devaluation of the Argentine peso.

Gross sales at 30 June stood at €4.79 billion, down from €4.90 billion a year ago. However, stripping out the effects of the peso devaluation, the group’s water business grew by 3.8%, Suez said.
