Israel building more desalination plants

Israel is to build another desalination plant, which will supply 100Mm<sup>3</sup> of water annually. Construction of the plant – at Caesarea – is expected to cost in the region of $200 million.
The Ministry of Finance tenders committee is due to publish a tender to build the plant on a BOT basis in early December. The tender will be the third published by the ministerial tenders committee for the construction of desalination facilities in cooperation with the private sector.
