The sale of Gelsenwasser looks unlikely for a while yet.
The chances that energy giant Eon will sell off its water and gas company Gelsenwasser within the short term now look rather remote following a development in the Eon/Ruhrgas merger case in mid-December.
Candidates keen to buy the company, including RWE and Hamburg water utility HWW, will have to be patient and may in the end be disappointed.
