Vivendi Water Deutschland is to acquire a 74.9% stake in the municipal utility of Weisswasser, in Saxony, eastern Germany. The town council’s finance committee voted in favour of the deal in December after a six-month tender procedure organised by KPMG Corporate Finance in which 12 bidders participated.
