Italy: The Ombrone ATO sold 40% of the share capital of its public utility company (Acquedotto del Fiora) to a joint venture of Ondeo and Acea.

The offer price was €19.3 million. Acquedotto del Fiora has a 25-year concession to serve 400,000 inhabitants in the area between Florence and Grosseto. Pre-selection for the ATOs of Basso Valdarno-Pisa and Medio Valdarno-Firenze closed in November 2002 but shares in the respective public utilities (Società Acque and Publiacqua) have yet to be sold.
