UK: Ofwat said it would allow both Severn Trent and Yorkshire Water to increase customer charges for the period April 2003 to March 2005.
Severn Trent can raise household water bills by £3 on average in real terms in each of the two years. Bills in the Yorkshire region can be increased by around £6 on average in real terms in 2003/04 and a further £8 in 2004/05.
