Germany: Berlinwasser Holdings has sold its contracting business WTE Wassertechnik to Austrian utility EVN AG.
Essen-based WTE operates water and wastewater services, including 69 sewage plants serving 8.5m people in Austria, Germany and eastern Europe. Berlinwasser continues to pursue concessions outside Germany through its Berlinwasser International division. Also, this month an agreement was finally reached about the returns Berlin Wasserbetriebe can make from its core business (see p.17).
